Geelong jumpers feel even softer to the touch than lambswool jumpers. Geelong is 100% wool from the very first shearing of specially bred Australian lambs. The fibre is finer than lambswool from later shearings. It is so soft and fine that it reminds even connoisseurs of cashmere.
The short, twisted fibres of Geelong wool trap a great deal of air, so they give excellent warmth at a light weight. Naturally, the jumpers keep their shape even after washing.
