Geelong knitwear feels even softer in the hand than lambswool. Geelong is 100% wool from the very first shearing of specially bred Australian lambs. The fibre is finer than lambswool. It is so soft and fine that it reminds even connoisseurs of cashmere. The short, twisted fibres of Geelong wool trap a great deal of air, so they provide excellent warmth at a low weight. Naturally, the Geelong slipover keeps its shape even after washing.

Washing

Wash after about three days of wear so that the wool fibres draw back together. By hand at no more than 30 degrees, then rinse well in cold water. Or in the machine on a wool or delicates cycle at no more than 30 degrees and 600 rpm at most.

Detergent

Use a liquid wool detergent. Not too much, otherwise the wool will felt.

Drying

Lay flat on a towel to dry; the towel can also be draped over a drying rack. Never in the tumble dryer.

Pilling

Pilling is normal with wool and cashmere. Regular washing prevents it, because the fibres draw together in the wash. So do not leave knitwear unwashed for too long.

Durability

Thanks to the tightly twisted yarn, the knitwear keeps its shape and does not stretch out with normal use. Cared for properly, it lasts many years, often decades.
