Geelong sweaters feel even softer to the touch than lambswool sweaters. Geelong wool is the very first shearing of the silky hair of Australian suckling lambs. It is so soft and fine that it reminds even connoisseurs of cashmere wool.
The short, twisted fibres of Geelong wool trap a lot of air and are therefore extremely warm despite being lightweight. Of course, the sweaters do not lose their shape even after washing.
