All about John Crocket's suits

SuitLexicon

Get to know John Crocket's business suits! They are available in two different fits. All business suits are made from the high-quality Super 140s fabric with a cashmere content. We'll also provide you with more information about this unique fabric and the appropriate care instructions!

Super 140

Our business suits are woven by the renowned Yünsa mill in the European part of Istanbul. For our business suits we use exclusively Super 140 virgin wool with a cashmere content of at least 5%.

Virgin wool is the wool obtained from the shearing of a sheep. The higher the fabric's Super number, the more tightly the yarn is twisted and the finer the weave. At a weight of 260-270 grams per square metre, our fabric is thin and light yet hard-wearing. The silky, high-quality fibre also has a climate-balancing effect, and the fabric's creases drop out overnight. For over 20 years, our customers have been able to rely on this fine yet robust fabric.

Care instructions

Our suits may only be dry-cleaned. The trousers tend to be cleaned more often, which reduces their durability. We therefore recommend an additional pair of trousers to go with your suit. To prolong the life of your suit, brush the jacket and trousers from top to bottom with a clothes brush. This already removes dust and dry dirt. Stains can be removed with a damp cloth. Be sure to let your suit hang out to air. Our tip: a room with higher humidity, such as the bathroom.

Suit models

Not only for its shirts, but also for its suits, John Crocket offers two models. Choose between the popular classic and the modern slimline. The Classic suits are distinguished above all by a classic cut and a three-button jacket. The trousers have a pleat and turn-ups and are cut relatively generously.

Suit fit

In general, we would like to recommend the following so that your suit fits well:

1. Make sure the shoulders fit well, because unlike arm or trouser length the shoulders cannot easily be altered.

2. The suit collar should sit snugly against the shirt collar and not stand away from it.

3. The jacket has the right sleeve length when the shirt cuff shows about one centimetre below the jacket sleeve.

4. The trousers are the right length when the hem rests on the top edge of your shoe's heel.

Make the most of what buying online offers: try the suit on at home, at your leisure. Put on a shirt that you will wear with the suit. Take the trouble to also put on the shoes you will wear with it after the purchase. Then you can decide calmly whether this is the suit for you.
