Quality and care
As a rule, you should pay particular attention to the selection of your accessories. We offer ties and bow ties made of pure, heavy silk. This is because only the nature of such a fabric ensures that the tied knot is shown to its best advantage. Moreover, the drape of the heavy fabric guarantees that the tie stays in its proper place. A tie that is too light can only be tied into a small knot; it does not drape as desired and will not stay in place.
Incidentally, it is not advisable to store ties and bow ties in their tied state. While this saves you from having to retie them, over time the silk fabric can develop pressure marks or creases. It is better to store the tie rolled up or hanging in the wardrobe. Make sure that your silk tie cannot
get caught on a belt buckle or a wood splinter and pull threads.
To avoid such annoyances, tie boxes and our bow tie packaging are well suited for storage. Please note that our ties and bow ties should not be washed or ironed. Instead, hang them in a room with high humidity (e.g. a bathroom) or have them dry cleaned.
Krawatte binden
Die Krawatte ist ein wichtiges Detail Ihres Erscheinungsbildes, auf die Auswahl sollte gut bedacht sein. Mit der falschen Krawatte und vor allem mit einem falschen oder schlechten Krawattenknoten können Sie selbst einen guten Anzug abwerten.
Es gibt unzählige Arten eine Krawatte zu binden. Wir haben Ihnen vier klassische Krawattenknoten zusammengestellt:
Four-in-Hand
Dieser Krawattenknoten ist einfach, schnell und sehr beliebt. Der lange, schmale Knoten hilft Ihnen die Halspartie zu verlängern. Besonders gut passt dieser Knoten zu breiteren Krawatten und kann zu allen Kragenformen getragen werden. Sollten Sie den Knoten ausprobieren, wundern Sie Sich nicht, denn dieser Kragen ist einfach etwas schief und asymmetrisch.
Double Four-in-Hand
Dieser Knoten ist ebenso einfach und schnell wie der einfache four-in-hands-Knoten und besticht durch seine längere und asymmetrische Form. Hiermit verleihen Sie Ihrem Krawattenknoten mehr Volumen indem Sie die Krawatte zweimal anstatt nur einmal umwickeln (siehe Schritt 3). Besonders gut passt der double four-in-hands zu unserem Cut-Away Kragen.
Windsor
Der Windsor Knoten ist recht groß und nimmt daher viel Platz ein. Mit seinem breiten und symmetrischen Erscheinungsbild wirkt er sehr elegant, jedoch kann er die Halspartie verkürzen. Wählen Sie hierfür eine schmalere Krawatte und einen weit ausgestellten Kragen wie beispielsweise einen Cut-Away Kragen.
The Small Knot
Das ist wohl der schnellste und einfachste Krawattenknoten den wir kennen. Der Knoten ist klein und schmal, wenn Sie ihn lockerer binden wirkt er aber automatisch etwas größer. So haben Sie Variationsmöglichkeiten und können diesen Knoten zu jeder Kragenform kombinieren.
Fliege binden
Eine Fliege zu binden ist nicht schwer, Sie brauchen bloß etwas Übung. Beeindrucken Sie Ihr Umfeld mit einer selbstgebundenen Fliege auf der nächsten Veranstaltung. Sind Sie auf einer Hochzeit eingeladen oder sogar selbst der Bräutigam? Tragen Sie während der Trauung die Fliege gebunden und sobald Sie die Tanzfläche betreten, kann die Fliege lässig offen um den Hals liegen.
