Our cravat with a Macclesfield pattern in orange is worn in an open shirt collar, where a tie would be too formal. The Macclesfield pattern is made up of small-scale, geometrically arranged motifs. It is named after the English silk town of Macclesfield, where these designs originated.

How to wear the cravat

Lay the cravat loosely around the neck, cross the ends over each other and tuck them out of sight inside the shirt collar. It needs no knot. A tie pin holds it in place, although one is not necessary.

Wear the cravat with shirts open at the collar, together with a jacket, a cardigan from our knitwear range or a tweed jacket. A pocket square rounds off the look.
