Suit Lexicon

Get to know John Crocket's business suits! They are available in two different fits. All business suits are made from the high-quality Super 140s fabric with a cashmere content. We'll also provide you with more information about this unique fabric and the appropriate care instructions!

Super 140

Our business suits are woven by the renowned Yünsa weaving mill in the European part of Istanbul. We use exclusively Super 140 virgin wool with a cashmere content of at least 5% for our business suits .

Virgin wool is the wool obtained from shearing a sheep. The higher the super-count of the fabric, the tighter the thread is twisted and the finer the weave. With a weight of 260-270 grams per square meter, our fabric is thin and lightweight yet durable. The silky, high-quality fiber also has a climate-regulating effect, and the fabric hangs well overnight. For over 20 years, our customers have been able to rely on this elegant yet robust fabric.

Care instructions

Our suits are dry-clean only. The trousers are usually dry-cleaned more often, which reduces their durability. For this reason, we recommend you buy a pair of trousers with your suit. To ensure your suit lasts longer, brush the jacket and trousers from top to bottom with a clothes brush. This will remove dust and dry dirt. You can remove stains with a damp cloth. Make sure to hang your suit upright. We recommend hanging it in a room with more humidity, such as the bathroom.

Suit models

John Crocket offers two styles of suits, not just shirts . Choose between the popular Classic and the modern Slimline. The Classic suits are characterized by a classic cut and a three-button jacket. The trousers have a pleat and turn-up and are relatively generously cut.

Suit fit

In general, we would like to recommend the following to ensure your suit fits well:

1. Make sure the shoulders fit well. Unlike arm or trouser length, the shoulders can't be easily adjusted.

2. The suit collar should fit snugly against the shirt collar and not stick out.

3. The jacket has the correct sleeve length if the shirt cuff protrudes about one centimeter below the jacket sleeve.

4. The pants are the right length when the hem rests on the top edge of your shoe heel.

Take advantage of the opportunities offered by online shopping: try on the suit in the comfort of your own home. Wear a shirt that you'll be wearing with the suit. Take the time to also try on the shoes you'll be wearing after buying the suit. Now you can decide in peace whether this is the suit of your choice.
