Geelong sweater with C-Neck

  • 100% Virgin Wool
  • Made in Scotland

Geelong sweaters feel softer to the touch than Lambswool sweaters. Geelong wool is the very first shearing of silky hair of Australian lambs. It is so soft and fine that it reminds of cashmere wool.
The short, twisted fibres of the Geelong wool include a lot of air and can therefore warm excellently with low weight. Of course, the sweaters do not lose their shape even after washing.

Material description

Geelong

Geelong is a 100% lambswool made in Australia produced by specially grown sheep. Originally, Geelong was developed in the coastal town of the same name south of Melbourne (Australia) as in the late 1980s, due to the monopoly of the Chinese, the cashmere price doubled. Geelong Sweaters feel softer to the touch as other lambswool sweaters. This wool offers an alternative to cashmere through due to its fineness. The short, rotated fibers of the Geelong wool include a lot of air and thus can warm excellently with low weight. Of course, the sweaters do not lose their shape even after washing.

Care instructions

To ensure that the knitwear does not form knots, wash the knitwear after three wearings to allow the wool fibers to contract. Wash the knitwear products with hand washing at maximum 35 degrees and rinse them well in cold water. Finally, simply spread flat on a towel and allow to dry.

With modern washing machines, it is possible to wash the knitting materials at maximum thirty degrees and few spins (max. 600). Simply select the wool program or fine wash and add some liquid detergent (not too much otherwise the wool could felt). For drying put the product on a towel spread over the sink. Please note that the knitting material must not be allowed in the dryer!
